Today isnt going to be a short post but i heard the most incredible thing today. I was in the car and my dad was talking to me and we had been talking then he started talking about someones birthday and how he was going to get something but then decided he would ask them what they wanted. and this person is turning 21 so its a big b-day this year, and you know what that person said? they said for their birthday they wanted him to make a donation to Relay For Life because she knows someone whos mom had cancer.. that absolutely made me think... what if everybody donated even just 1$ to a charity.. we could raise so much money. Cancer might be cured, End world hunger! we can never tell whats around the corner but i was on a website and it said the world population at the second i looked at it was 7,004,779,030.. if everybody donated a single dollar.. we could all become richer, but not in money, in LIFE. As i was watching this world population counter i kept seeing it go up.. and up.. and up.. its pretty crazy.. check it out for youruself! http://www.ibiblio.org/lunarbin/worldpop

ReplyDeleteHey, what someone forgot to tell you is that the person who suggested a donation be made instead of a birthday gift was his big sister. Now there is a story that inspired a little brother and his dad.
ReplyDeleteWow! That IS inspirational....maybe you could start a campaign to encourage folks to donate $1. What if the campaign was successful and you got everyone in the world to donate one dollar? And what if you raised $7 billion dollars? What would you donate the money to? I think I might donate it to the World Bank because I heard they had a program to help poor people get started with making things they could sell or learn a skill....you know the old adage "Give a man a fish and you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish and you have fed him for a lifetime."
